Building Surveys
Our primary activities are and always have been the provision of design services in relation to works of repair, alteration, extension, fit-out and new build.  When we inspect buildings, diagnose defects, advise on repairs and the prospects for alteration and improvement our advice is based on working knowledge of such projects – so the advice is thorough and authoritative.

Residential Surveys
We only undertake comprehensive Building Condition Surveys, principally of older and usually listed properties; this is where our experience of listed and historic buildings, constructions and repair techniques, and the associated legislation is of greatest value to a purchaser.  We can advise on the risks associated with a building’s purchase, on methods of repair and how to arrange such works.

Commercial buildings
Our experience of commercial fitting-out works, landlord and tenant legislation and practices, building repair and alteration work enables us to provide thorough and knowledgeable advice when inspecting commercial premises.  It is also essential to keep up to date with ever-changing legislation on matters such as disabled access, health and safety law, asbestos management, fire safety and energy saving measures.  We can provide such advice to assist you in assessing your current and future premises.

Quinquennial inspections
We have for some years carried out quinquennial inspections of church premises, from large historic churches to small chapels, manses and vicarages to multi-purpose halls.  We are well acquainted with the requirements of the various denominations and provide reports and advice in the appropriate format.  Our extensive experience of alteration and repair works to church buildings, combined with detailed knowledge of legislation and denominational guidance enables us to provide reports which are thorough and give reasoned, practical advice.
