Although a modern church, the development of the surrounding area and changes in legislation had given rise to the need for a reconfigured and more prominent entrance accessible to all, and the rearrangement and improvement of internal toilet and kitchen facilities. In addition the church wanted to extend the building to provide a new chapel.  This provided a challenge on a tight urban site with no spare land – the church owned no land beyond its narrow shrub beds and access steps.

Hall & Ensom were commissioned to provide full architectural design services and saw the project through from sketch scheme proposals, through planning and building regulations approval, tendering and monitoring works on site to completion and hand-over.
