Hall and Ensom have been commissioned to design a major extension to the health centre, providing additional administrative accommodation, staff relaxation space and a new feature entrance at the rear.  The medical partnership wanted a design with considerable architectural impact and we were pleased to win the commission when our initial design successfully met the brief. 

The extension has been carefully designed to enable the busy health centre to remain operational throughout the construction phase and new accommodation will provide the opportunity to reorganise other areas within the existing building to improve facilities for the training of new GPs. 

The project is currently being considered for planning permission by the local authority and detailed design work should take place during 2010.
